A raw opal half hoop earring pair. These rough opal earrings are tumble polished, and complemented with a textured setting around the edges of the raw gemstone. This earring stacks well with other earrings with multiple piercings. These ear studs have been dipped in REAL 24k gold.

Opals tend to shift colors depending on the light and the angle you view. I cannot guarantee any specific hues will be available and colors are selected randomly.

The earring post and back are made entirely with pure 14k gold fill, which has been plated with a very thick layer 24k gold. Unlike other electroforming artists, I use 14k gold fill instead of copper on my ring shanks, chains, and earring mechanisms. Copper is a less precious metal than 14k gold fill, known to turn your skin green and to tarnish very quickly under normal circumstances.

You will receive one of the sets in the photo, or an earring set almost identical to what is shown in the photographs. One set is one pair of earrings. Since natural one of a kind gemstones are being used, each pair will be ever so slightly different. Please note this grade of opal varies in color intensity, and also has natural inclusions, some of which are white and some of which are gray. The hue varies from white, green, blue, violet, and pink, and some may exhibit multiple colors, including rare flashes of red. Each pair of earrings is not identically matched, as each individual opal is one-of-a-kind.

Please note rose gold earrings utilize a sterling silver post. Rose gold has a higher copper content than yellow gold and can cause irritation. Silver helps alleviate these symptoms.
